JORDAN’S tip was a winner as both teams scored in the Melbourne City match.
He’s back with a couple of tips from the CONCACAF Champions League.
He says: “The CONCACAF Champions League restarts tonight where MLS strugglers Vancouver Whitecaps head to T&T champions Central FC. The MLS has been a funny one this season with the majority of last year’s bad teams doing well and the good teams not performing as you would expect.
“This goes for the Whitecaps who have really struggled away from home this season keeping only one clean sheet in 13 away games and conceding 2.1 goals on average. Coach Carl Robinson has already said he will take a different squad with one eye already one their away game in Colorado on Sunday.
“If I’m right that means he could play 15-year-old homegrown wonderkid Alphonso Davies who has been called up into the main squad and featured in their Canadian Championship game not so long ago. We could also see Giles Barnes who was traded from Houston last week so they still could have some attacking threat regardless of a rotated squad.
“The Trinidadians will be playing in the second consecutive competition and have added a homegrown player of their own with the loan signing of Kenwyne Jones from new MLS franchise Atlanta FC. Last year they were unbeaten at home and even played out a 1-1 against LA Galaxy. They haven’t had much game time over the past couple of months with their season ending end in May but take the competition seriously and conditions will favour them with Vancouver playing their third consecutive away game in the last 10 days and as already said looking at their next MLS fixture.”
CONCACAF Champions League – (1am)
Central FC v Vancouver Whitecaps BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals (10-11, bet365)– 2.2 points
“The later game has Mexican League leaders Pachuca at home to Olimpia FC. Difficult to find info on this without having to translate into broken English so I’m tempted to leave it but if Pachuca play a reasonably strong side (which they are known to do at home in this competition) they could score a few goals with Olimpia only just starting their domestic campaign and a long trip on the road. Small possibility they could score. Team news will likely be out at around 2am. I may be up but if not these are only guidelines.”
